About Me
For fans of Mumford & Sons, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Ben Howard and Sunday mornings.
The D.I.Y process is integral for David Gorman when it comes to his music. After studying Music Production at University he claims he feels obliged to prove to himself that it wasn't money for nothing. All music is recorded at home using a set-up he has continued to build over the last few years. The packaging for each release is also printed, cut-out, folded and glued together at home to give them a more unique touch. 2015 was the first D.I.Y venture for David with his debut EP 'A Thousand Miles a Day'. Each part performed, recorded, mixed, and mastered by himself. The raw production, mixed with the intricate guitar playing and catchy melodies offers an easy listen. He spent the following year performing across the UK starting with his hometown of Manchester. Winter 2017 marked the release of his second home-recorded EP 'Another Midnight'. Calling on the talents of Connaire Stubbs and LizzieJane this EP offered a much bigger sound than it's predecessor. The addition of piano and cello on tracks such as 'Ache No More' really help to raise the bar for his next release. |
